Bangladesh Women‍‍`s Cricket team levelled the three-match ODI Series 1-1 with touring Pakistan Women‍‍`s team beating them in the second match in the Super Over at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The second ODI between two teams rolled to Super Over when Pakistan‍‍`s women‍‍`s team were all out for 169 runs in 49.5 overs to make a tie, replying to Bangladesh‍‍`s total of 169 for 9 in the quota of 50 overs.

In the Super Over, Pakistan scored seven runs, losing two wickets featuring a boundary.

Chasing eight to win the one-over eliminator, Bangladesh scored six runs in four balls and needed two runs in the last ball, with Nigar Sultana on strike for the first time after Sobhana Mostary had been stumped off Nashra Sandhu‍‍`s bowling.

Bangladesh Captain Nigar Sultana stepped out and lofted Sandhu over mid-off for a match-winning boundary in a crucial situation, bringing the series scoreline to 1-1 with the third and series-deciding ODI to be played on Friday.

Pakistan earlier took a 1-0 lead in the three-match Women‍‍`s ODI Series, beating hosts Bangladesh by five wickets in the first match last Saturday.

In the day‍‍`s match, Pakistan Women‍‍`s team needed three runs in the 50th and last over with one wicket in hand, but Bangladeshi all-rounder Fahima Khatun fell the last Pakistani wicket, running out Nashra Sandhu (4) with the help of her mate Nishita Akter Nishi in the 2nd last ball (49.5 over) of the match to keep the Bangladesh hope alive.

Opener Shadat Shams (29), captain Nida Dar (27), opener Sidra Ameen (22), Najiha Alvi (22) and Aliya Riaz (21) were the notable scorers for Pakistan.

Rabeya Khan of Bangladesh took three Pakistani wickets, giving away 29 runs, while Marufa Akter, Nishita Akter Nishi, Fahima Khatun, and Nahida Akter took one wicket each.

Earlier, after winning the toss in the day‍‍`s match, Bangladesh women‍‍`s batted first and scored 169 for nine in the quota of 50 overs, losing the last five wickets in just 36 runs.

After the departure of the top two batters for 43 runs, opener Fargana Haque, paired with captain Nigar Sultana, contributed 49 runs in the third wicket stand.

Captain and wicketkeeper Nigar Sultana, who contributed the team‍‍`s highest 54 runs off 104 balls with three boundaries in addition to the match-winning boundary in the super over, which also featured two stumpings, was adjudged the player of the match.

Besides opener Fargana Haque (40), one down Sobhana Mostary (16), number five Fahima Khatun (16), and opener Murshida Khatun (12), the other major contributors to Bangladesh reaching double figures were

Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal took two wickets, each conceding 27 and 32 runs, respectively.

Earlier, the Bangladesh Women‍‍`s team won their historic and first-ever Women‍‍`s T20 Series against Pakistan, beating them 2-1 in the three-match series at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram last month.
